They will show themselves as you remember them. Sometimes they will show themselves as somewhat younger, perhaps before an illness or when they were in better health. They will speak to me or show me pictures to tell you about. Usually the information will be significant to the two of you to let you know it is them. Other times they have such strong personalities that I will just explain their character and mannerisms and you will recognize it is them. They may say a phrase they used all the time, or speak of something the two of you knew about.

It is an ideal way to answer any open questions you may have and also a way to say hello and reconnect. I find more often than not that they have things they would like to communicate to you as well.

I do find that the ability to communicate will vary, and that it does take them a lot of energy to do so and some cannot sustain it for long. But then there are others who could chat for hours. It very much depends on their strength and how strongly connected they are to you, and whether they are fully transitioned yet.
